Ondrej Kaščák, PhD., Assoc. Prof., is the chairman of the department of Preschool and Primary Education at Trnava university (Slovakia) and a senior research fellow at Centre for Research in Education at Institute for Research in Social Communication of Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Pedagogy, member of the editorial boards of journals: Pedagogická orientace, Acta Facultatis paedagogicae UT, member of the German Sociological Association, section Sociology of Childhood (DGS), member of Czech Association of Educational Research and member of Network of Experts on Social Aspects of Education and Training (REAL-net) at the European commission.
